This reinterpretation of the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge draws on the decorative world of Gustav Klimt, a great name of the Vienna Secession and of Art Nouveau. In golden light, the Venetian façades and the arches of the bridge are adorned with geometric motifs and glittering touches, while gondolas glide over water with reflections of gold and deep green. The precious ornaments, rich patterns and mosaic effects typical of Klimt’s golden period evoke his admiration for Byzantine art. A refined, luminous composition in which Venetian architecture meets the artist’s ornamental elegance.
