This new take on Chillon Castle draws on Paul Signac, a pillar of Neo-Impressionism. On the shore of Lake Geneva, the castle stands between turquoise waters dotted with gliding white sailing boats, flower-filled banks and the snow-capped Alps closing off the horizon. Small dabs of pure colour, juxtaposed using the pointillist technique, blend at a distance to recompose the light of summer. This approach, based on the breaking down of colour, gives the landscape a luminous vibrancy. A lively, joyful reading of the shores of Montreux, in which the castle keeps all its presence.
