The Port of Saint-Tropez - Paul Signac
Paul Signac particularly enjoyed exploring the seashores and ports of the Mediterranean coast. When he discovered Saint-Tropez in 1892, he suddenly became attached to this small fishing village and bought a house there, which he quickly made his studio. In this pointillist work, the tranquility of the sea coexists with almost saturated colors, which is in contrast to the atmosphere of the painting The Port of Rotterdam.
